Simple Familiars are pretty much what they sound like: creatures who are simple in function. They do not have rich inner emotional worlds as a result of social connections like humans do, and are more akin to animals like dogs, cats, and horses in how they interact with the world around them. This is not to say that they aren't intelligent—far from it—but it does mean there isn't a whole lot of variance from one member of this species to another in terms of expected behaviour. With this in mind, their dossiers tend to be more heavily templated compared to regular preconjures, and their PDFs often do not include customized art. Their abilities are fairly straight forward, and while some can be trained to expand their capabilities, others are too charmingly oblivious to be able to diversify their skill sets no matter how hard we try to teach them a new trick. Simple familiars are a good fit for new witches taking their first steps into the realm of spirit work, for those wishing to work on the basics before diving further into more complex relationships with entities, and for individuals who are seeking low maintenance friends to focus on their craft aspects with. About Apple Dragons
Named after the trees these creatures are often found in, Apple Dragons are a wonderful addition for any practicing witch who wishes for a little bit of aid in the kitchen–magical or otherwise–and are always happy to perform small tasks for you. Flower Toads typically do not need to be told when to spring into action to get energy flowing again. Teapot Animati make swift friends with witches who consider themselves to be herbalists or people who believes in the magical power of tea. Requiring a teapot to call home, their favourite places to hang out are in teacups while they take a quiet little soak, tea canisters, under tea trolley wheels, on tea shelves, and even in tea strainers. They are gentle and unassuming familiars that one might consider to be a type of wish granter. The act of selecting, steeping, and pouring tea is where their magic manifests, and it is their belief that these little dedicated actions each day can lead you wherever your heart desires. They are all about intention and generating results through repetition. If you have a specific goal in mind, they’ll help direct you towards the right blend of ingredients to call upon their magical properties, heightening your chances for actualization.
About Tundral Steeds
