APPEARANCE
Solar Elves tend to be short and petite in stature, with short chubby pointed ears and androgynous figures. They have no visible separation between sclera and iris, and skin is often a milky brown colour. Their hair and eye colour can be any shade of gold, and they all have freckled complexions. These freckles are lighter than their skin tone.

ABILITIES
Generally speaking, Solar Elves are quite gregarious by nature and not easy to ruffle or upset. They are open to other cultures, and are highly curious people. While they can be a bit emotionally elusive when you are first getting to know them, then get along well with many different kinds of characters and can easily fit in anywhere, although some might be chaffed by their always upbeat and chipper personalities, perceiving them as “fake”. Solar Elves, however, are far from fake. They simply believe in always putting your best foot forward, no matter how glum or tired you may be.

HOME WORLD OR REALM
Solar Elves come from a world called Yel’vasa which is a fairly distant world from our own. The world that they come from is very much a rich, luscious fantasy-esque world with plenty of forests, villages, some larger cities, mountains, vast oceans, diverse landscapes, an abundance of wildlife, and is full of magic. The most advanced tech that they have is steam and coal powered, but this tech is predominantly controlled by a different race in the world (for they control the fuel required to make them run), with most societies being fairly low-tech and relying on magic or physical labour for most things.

RELIGION AND SOCIAL BELIEFS
Solar Elves are, of course, named after their resemblance and worship of the sun. Nearly all Solar Elves worship a singular solar deity by the name of Pith’tah, and their entire lifecycle and society is structured around the sun’s rotations around their planet. Primarily diurnal people, the Solar Elves have a heavy focus on the seasons, which serve as important markers for various religious practices.
The Summer Solstice, in particular, is of utmost importance to them, and signifies the beginning of the New Year.

Their summers are incredibly long, with winter being their shortest season, lasting roughly only two months, while the summer lasts for six out of their fourteen month cycle. The summer is a time of vitality, and the Solar Elf cities are truly alive with brightly coloured streamers, flags, and beautiful music with frequent dances in the square and many lavish parties to participate in. Their culture is one of the richer ones in the world, as it is said that the Solar Elves are the descendants of Pith’tah, which ranks them quite high socially among the other elemental elves.

The winter time and Winter Solstice especially are for quiet and restoration, focus on the home and hearth, and letting go of regrets. It’s a time for inner reflection, of hibernation, and of taking care of your inner circle and family, while Spring and Autumn are spent accumulating resources and taking advantage of seasonal harvests.
