ABOUT TEACUP FAE
Teacup Fae are every small child’s perfect daydream. Named after their love of tea parties, these fae are most commonly found deep in the heart of old forests or around children, typically encouraging young minds to play make-belief and indulge in their imagination and all it has to offer.

Teacup Fae are quite small in stature, around 4’5”-5’4” on average, and due to their love of confectionery treats, these lovely entities tend to have a propensity to be quite plump. Their hair ranges from white, varying shades of pastel, to slightly dustier, darker hues of pink, blue, purple, green, orange, and yellow. Teacup Fae skin is quite pale in complexion and is either white, pink, blue or yellow with a pearlescent sheen. Their foreheads often have a birthmark similar to a daisy or softer solar-esque design, although Teacup Fae can have additional markings under their eyes, along the sides of their neck, over their shoulders, ribs, or down their hips. A light dusting of freckles across the cheeks is not unheard of, however, having markings anywhere besides their face tends to be a rare occurrence. Their eyes have the same colour range as their hair, and their lips are typically painted to match the colour of their markings. Teacup Fae love over-the-top fancy attire. They have a love of rococo fashion, sweet lolita, and period clothing, and you can always expect a Teacup Fae to be dressed to nines, even if it means looking like a frilly cupcake topper.

Teacup Fae have small wings that are typically held at rest. Their wings are shaped similarly to dragonfly wings and are shimmery and transparent. Teacup Fae wings are not fully coloured, but instead possess a rainbow or single colour sheen to them much like the reflection on the surface of a bubble. Their wings are not used for flight any longer as the race has grown too tall for their weaker wings to sustain active flight. They do, however, use their wings to express and convey emotions. With small, pointed elf-like ears, the only other physical feature worth noting as ‘other’ would be the light that emanates from behind their heads like a halo or corona. These “halos” are typically pastel in colour and do not harm the eyes to look upon.

As Teacup Fae are especially social beings, they will flutter back and forth between our world and theirs so they can maintain their other friendships and familial ties. Teacup Fae also have this fascinating ability to make you feel really heard, understood, and appreciated no matter how long you’ve been apart. Generally speaking the Teacup Fae are mostly seeking meaningful relationships with humans, and are looking for companionship in the truest sense of the word. Teacup Fae don’t really care for “offerings” but are more than happy to accept gifts so long as you’ll allow them to give you something in return. They pride themselves in their ability to know their friends better than anyone and will want to showcase that through gifts and helpful gestures. These Fae do not have an “indebted” system like some Fae can have, and are only really fae-like in their fairy-like physical qualities, which is true of a lot of the ‘Fae’ creatures I conjure.

Teacup Fae are generally really easy for people to perceive, even those who are not as sensitive to the metaphysical may find themselves doing a double take over their shoulder, questioning whether they saw someone standing behind them only to find “nobody’s” there. If you are less experienced, Teacup Fae are the perfect companions to help you hone your skills.
